Our trip around the world in search of a good Cinderella story has just begun! This past week we visited 5 countries and enjoyed a Cinderella tale from each of them. First up was France where we learned they have 500 different kinds of cheese and their Cinderella tale is the closest to the Disney story. Then on to Korea where many kids knew about the country because they study Tae Kwon Do. Their story, The Korean Cinderella, was beautifully illustrated and had a goblin instead of a fairy godmother! Next up was Iraq where we learned that they enjoy racing pigeons. Their story was The Golden Sandal, about a girl who was counseled by a red fish as her fairy godmother. After that we traveled to China reading Ye-Shen and learning that the whole country uses only 1 time zone- the time in Beijing! Lastly, we went to South Africa where the world's largest diamond was found and their tale Mufaro's Beautiful Daughters where the King himself was the magic. Where we go next? Stay tuned :)
Here are some pictures of PJ Day! Don't forget that Friday is mismatch day!
Don't forget if you know anyone who is looking to make donations for tax purposes by the end of the year, my DonorsChose page link on the landing page to my website. We have had several donations, even one from Mrs. Stack's mother-in-law!
