This week to go with our math unit on 3 digit numbers, the kids picked a number and practiced decomposing it to see its place value. They came out so cute!
Yesterday we started to talk about measuring with non-standard units of measurement which led to our work with rulers today. Here is some students using unifix cubes to measure.
All week we have been really paying attention to the beginning, middle, and end of a story. Not only is it good to look at this from a comprehension stand point but also it helps writers make sure they have all the parts of their story!
We read Stellaluna this week to practice our skills on identifying BME. First we made a flip page that was more of a retell, then made a craft that used our summarizing skills!
After that, we looked again at the BME but this time we tracked how the character of Stellaluna felt during each part of the story.
