Below you will see the kids and the final roller coaster they created. There was lots of experimenting and unsuccessful tries at making it go, but eventually we got them all to run! The kids loved making their coasters but I think loved even more the ability to walk around and see other groups work. As a part of the reflective process, the kids will make a group poster and an iBook what they will then share with you at conferences!
This was also a great activity to help teach children how to get along and work in a group. The poster below is what we used as an anchor chart to remind kids what the expectations were for getting along with others so that we can have fun and be productive!
