Although it was a short week we sure did pack a lot into it!

This week saw us learn how to do double digit subtraction with regrouping. I posted several videos on SeeSaw so you can see what a great job they did!
We also practiced counting money and followed that up with a fun investigation looking for all the ways you could make 40 cents!
Continuing our unit on animals, the kids had fun looking at animal scat, skulls and paw prints. The beaver skull was the favorite for its crazy yellow teeth.
The kids colored their geckos with oil pastels and next week they put paint over top. Look for those to come home at conferences.
Finally, on Friday afternoon, we picked our animal to research over the next few weeks and here are the kids reading some of those books. The children will be creating a wonderful research project at school to share with you at conferences!
